Featuring a day with Iron Chef Duskie Estes of Sonoma’s zazu restaurant & farm, our extraordinary day begins with a barrel tasting and winery tour with Mat Gustafson, winemaker for his Paul Mathew Vineyard. Then join Chef on the farm for lessons in pizza making, animal farming, gardening, and her farm to table philosophy. Celebrate with a grand lunch paired with the latest releases from Paul Mathew Vineyards.

Iron Chef Competitor Duskie Estes and her chef husband John Stewart are the proprietors of Sonoma County restaurants Zazu Restaurant & Farm and Bovolo, as well as the Black Pig Meat Company, purveyor of their own delicious high quality bacon.

Chefs John and Duskie beat out many distinguished chefs to be crowned King and Queen of Porc at Aspen’s Grand Cochon in June of this year.

Food and wine are the kings of the West County and our weekend is designed to enjoy as much as we can pack in. Guerneville is tiny and booming – reminiscent of the way Sonoma was 40 years ago – small wineries and local food artisans are within minutes. Miles of hiking and walking trails through the majestic California redwoods are just down the road in Armstrong Woods and kayaking or golf are only a little farther.

The weekend price of $1059 per person, double occupancy, includes:
• 3 nights in Guerneville at the West Sonoma Inn where most rooms are Courtyard Suites with views of redwoods and vineyards, fireplaces, kitchens or kitchenettes. The Inn has a pool on the premises and is easy walking distance to downtown Guerneville and 4 blocks from the Russian River.
• Continental Breakfast daily.
• Transportation on all organized group tours.
• Special winery visits, private barrel tasting, cooking class, food pairings. Events to be announced as they are confirmed.

A $325 per person deposit is required to reserve your space. Final payment is due February 23, 2012. In the event of cancellation before final payment, the deposit will be returned less a $75 transaction fee. In the event this tour does not operate due to low enrollment, your full deposit will be returned.
